Lone Crow and The Warden are back backpacking in rain on the Wisconsin Ice Age Trail. We hiked the Ice Age Trail New Wood Segment and the Ice Age Trail Camp 27 Segment for a total distance of just under 10 miles. Backpacking through mud is slow, tedious and difficult. For many miles we were backpacking through long grass and getting soaked on our backpacking trip. Rainy backpacking can be a challenge on its own, but when you mix backpacking in mud and backpacking over slippery rocks the hike just gets difficult.
